Why I Want To Be A Writer
04:13Now, there might be some repeating in this, but ... suck it.
I used to be a rather lonely kid. I never actually felt like I fit in anywhere. But I was always drawn towards imaginary worlds and stories. I loved reading, and I loved having people read to me. I loved playing with figures, like animals and action figures, where I created people and stories, just as I do now.
I wrote my first story when I was in 2nd grade (6 years old). It was full of grammar mistakes, really short and extremely bad. It was about a potato named Petter.
Since then, I've been an aspiering writer, with the goal of being something more, always living withing me.
My favourite part is by far the process of creation.
When I get an idea, like ... well let me do one on the direct!
There is a small village in a mountain. In daylight it looks like ordinary rocks, but at night, especialy when bathed in moonlight, there are small crystals in the rock that give a slight glow. The place is extremely romantic, and even though it's quite well hidden, most people know about it through the lovestories that are written.
The most known is the story written by a young guy named Alec. He fell hopelessly in love with a girl he only met for a moment, and he dreamed of her every day. And then, somehow brought to him by fate, she came to that small hidden village in the mountains. And he did everything he could to show her what kind of love he could give her.
Then, something happened, and they both went their sepperate ways away from the night light village, romantically hidden in the mountains far away. They didn't speak for years, even though they both wrote letters they wish they dared to send.
Then Fate, once again fed up with the fear they felt, brought them back to the lights. And they never left again. They lived in that small, romantic village for the rest of their lives, and since then, the crystal lights in the rocks have been a symbol of how love han win through.
AND tadaaaa!
I swear, I made that up just now as I was writing.
And this is what I find the most fun in. Creating the places, people and stories!
The other part is putting the images in my head, the feelings and sounds, into words that I can share with others. I have spends so much time in my life, working on being better and better. Working on painting a story through words, so that I can share the amazing stuff I find in my mind, with others.
And that is why I write.
To share what I love the most.
To share the creations that I could never live without. I'd like to believe that some day, somewhere out there, there will be a person seeking a place to hide form reality, just for a little while... and that person will find the world I've hidden in so many times.... and that person will feel what I have felt, as I imagine myself running across the open fields with a hawk over my head, and a dream in my heart, as the wind is dancing around me!
