I'll probably make a video about this at some point because this is something I feel very strongly about. It's also a bit of a touchy subject that no one seems to agree with me on, which is why I keep putting it off ..
Your life is in your hands. What you do with it is up to you.
Omfg shocker, right?
I like to watch YouTube videos of people doing really cool stuff or videos of really cool places, and I know a lot of other people love that too. Then I look at the comment section, and what do I see?
"I want to go but I'm broke af"
"I want to try this so bad but I have no money"
"I tell my parents I want to go there and they just ask me where I'll get the money for that"
Well, yeah. Where are you going to get the money for that? Where are you expecting to get money overall?
This is coming from a person who didn't really have allowance. I did get a small amount of money once per month (about 30$ maybe? The currency is weird these days) and other than that, we worked on a "ask what you want and maybe you'll get it" system. This is partially because my parents are slight control freaks and would like to know what I spend money on by buying it themselves, rather than just give me money. I think the system sort of worked though, because buying useless bullshit became much harder when I had to ask them for the money first.
Some people are born into this world with advantages that others don't have, and some are born with disadvantages. So what?
Your complaining is not going to change that fact. You saying it's unfair that some people are basically bleeding money while others are straight out bleeding, is not going to make a difference. I know it's unfair, but that is the playing field we have to work with. You need to figure out what will be your best method to get somewhere, and not compare your recourses with someone else.
I feel like I am a good person to ask for advice because I'm good at breaking down the problem and ask very specific questions, which results in specific answers and advice. I'm not all that good with general advice because I feel like it's much easier to forget and execute.
This is my specific advice for those that need money to do the things they want:
Get a job.
That's another shocker, right? I'm sure you've never heard that one before.
Saying that you don't have time because of school, that you have anxiety, that nobody wants to hire you ... those are all excuses and lack of will. Sorry. You need to bend and get your ass in a position that makes people want to hire you (that sounded kinda wrong but don't take it that way) OR you need to find an alternative.
There are so many other jobs that are not in retail and require no hiring, you just need to work extra hard and be a little creative. If you think you can do a job well that you don't really like, then good for you! However, I will recommend that you go like this:
1. Find something you like that you could put X amount of working hours into (art, writing, media etc.)
2. Find out what needs are within your field. What do people need your talent for? (you should check out online freelance sites for small jobs, but they're rarely good pay)
3. Figure out how you can satisfy a certain need. You want to deliver a service or a product, but what it should be MUST to correlate with what people need/want.
4. Research, figure out what people have done before and see if you can find guidance on how to bring your product or service into the world, how much you should charge for it and how to market it to the right crowd.
5. Work very, very hard and don't make excuses. If your reasons to postpone work are good or not is irrelevant to a potential consumer. They don't care if you had homework this weekend, they just want what you offer.
Now this sounds a lot like you should start a business, and in a way you are. How much money you make is unknown, but if I assume that you're a student then you probably wont make so much that you need to actually start a business and deal with taxes and so on. I currently do have a small business through a class at school, which is why I'm all up in this right now. Consumers, target group, demand, needs and how to satisfy such things within a market; these are all things I am currently being taught to think about all the time.
I'm basing this around the concept that you have some kind of skill that you can turn into a product or service. If you're good at drawing, you could illustrate someone's work or start your own drawn series of some kind. If you're good at writing, you could make articles for online magazines or make a blog. If you can sing or find yourself funny, you can entertain people. Figure out what you have and why someone needs it. I'll say this a thousand times if I have to.
"But I don't have anything that I'm good at!"
Ok, that's probably true. What do?
Get good.
*shameless plug*
I'll be starting a series on my youtube channel about this, because I'm currently in the process of doing it myself as well as it being the focal point for most of my studies. You should check it out, because I'll be honest and kick your ass if you start making excuses. We're in this together.

If you can't get a normal job because of X reason then this will be your best shot. It's going to be hard and you probably wont do it. I would love to see you prove me wrong though. I wholeheartedly want to you to prove me wrong because I, as one human being with dreams to another, wants to see you chase your dreams. Recklessly and happy.
